Leeds City Council
Our Asset Management & Regeneration department plays an important role in delivering the Morley Town Deal and helping support the local economy. Colleagues from regeneration and project management professionals work with central government to draw down funding to achieve this and have been successful in our bid to the Towns Fund for Morley.
Our officers will be on hand to answer your questions and you can speak in person to them at future consultation events.
Mott Macdonald
Leeds City Council are working with Mott Macdonald, a global engineering, management and development consultancy. They supported with the development of the economic business cases and are now providing an ongoing monitoring and evaluation support role.
Locality
Locality is national charity and a membership organisation for communty organisations, which believes in unlocking the power of community to transform communities and help create a fairer society. Locality was commissioned by Leeds City Council to engage the Morley community and to consult with them about the future of the town.
Ahead Partnership
The Ahead Partnership is supporting Leeds with employment and skills engagement with schools across Morley in relation to the Morley Town Deal. Growing Talent Morley is a programme of engagement with schools and children which will embed the benefits of the Morley Town Deal in the town, supporting young people to engage with the themes, activities and outcomes of the Town Investment Plan and enhancing awareness and interest in digital skills and careers linked to job opportunities in and around Morley.
HM Government
The Towns Fund is a priority for this government and central to the levelling up agenda. Through working directly with places and putting power in the hands of local businesses and communities, it is unleashing the economic potential of towns and high streets across England. The government wants to see vibrant towns that are more attractive places to live, work and visit; and to level up opportunity across the country so that everyone (wherever they live) can contribute to and benefit from economic growth.
